• Cargo Risk:

  For sharp or high-impact cargo (e.g., scrap metal, rocks), select the highest GSM (1200GSM) and denier (2000D) to maximize puncture and tear defense.

• Movement/Abrasion: For roll-over and roll-up tarps, specify a low-friction topcoat (lacquer) to improve rolling and protect against wear from the mechanism.

• Branding: Request material that is compatible with high-quality digital printing for long-lasting, visible corporate branding on side curtains.

Manufacturing and Tailoring

We employ heavy-duty coating lines to ensure full saturation of the high-denier scrim.

• Scrutinizing Scrim: We source only high-tenacity, low-stretch polyester yarn to guarantee the underlying structural integrity of the base fabric.

• Topcoat Application: Topcoats (lacquers) are applied via a final rolling or spray process to ensure uniform coverage and optimal resistance to dirt and abrasion.

• QC Testing: Every batch undergoes warp and weft tear propagation testing according to standard ISO procedures to certify the high tear-resistance rating before release.

  A: Yes, we highly recommend an acrylic or PVDF lacquer topcoat for truck covers to resist dirt adhesion, simplify cleaning, and provide an extra layer of UV protection.

• Q: How does the tear resistance compare to a standard 900GSM tarp?

  A: Due to the high-denier scrim and dense weave, the tear propagation strength of the 1300D material can be up to 50−100% higher than a standard 1000D/900GSM general-purpose fabric.
