Material Selection Guide

Selection should balance the required outdoor lifespan and the complexity of the printing process.

• Lifespan: For very short-term, single-use banners, select lighter weight materials (340GSM). For 6 months or more outdoor exposure, use 510GSM or higher.

• Finish: Choose Gloss for high-impact visual reflectivity; choose Matte for professional photographic prints or areas with strong sun glare.

• Printing Resolution: The 500D×500D base offers a smoother printing surface than lower denier options, improving fine detail quality.

Manufacturing and Tailoring

We focus on high-speed, consistent coating for bulk production of frontlit banners.

• Coating Chemistry: The PVC formula includes specific surface tension modifiers that ensure optimal wetting and chemical bond with solvent inks.

• Scratch Resistance: A thin, clear topcoat (lacquer) can be applied post-coating to further enhance resistance to surface scratching during handling and installation.

• Custom Colors: We can supply the base banner in colors other than white (e.g., blue, red) for screen printing, subject to minimum order quantities.

• Q: Is this material suitable for Latex printing?

  A: While primarily optimized for solvent/eco-solvent, a specific formulation with enhanced heat stability can be supplied for Latex printing upon request.

• Q: Does the material curl at the edges when printed?

  A: Our material is designed to have minimal residual stress post-calendering. However, severe ink load on a very light-weight material can induce minor edge curl; proper hemming is always recommended.
