This tarpaulin is manufactured with a specialized fire retardant (FR) chemical additive package integrated into the PVC coating compound. This formulation prevents the material from sustaining combustion after the removal of an ignition source, making it self-extinguishing. The base is a high-tenacity woven polyester scrim that provides structural integrity. The material is essential for enclosed spaces or public areas where regulatory compliance mandates specific flame spread and smoke development characteristics, without compromising the material's core waterproofing and mechanical strength.
